Silver calcium alginate sheets and rope fillers are flexible, conformable dressings impregnated with broad-spectrum antimicrobial silver. When silver alginate fibers contact wound fluid or blood, moisturizing gel forms to facilitate wound regeneration. Embedded silver ions inhibit common pathogens including Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli.
Instructions for use
✢ Clean wound and surrounding intact skin with sterile water or saline, gently blot peripheral skin dry.
✢ Select matching dressing size, aseptically open pouch and remove silver alginate dressing.
✢ Secondary dressing is mandatory for all silver alginate usage. Sterile scissors can resize dressing/tape for irregular wounds.
✢Pre-moisten pad with sterile liquid to prevent epidermal injury, then fix firmly on wound bed.
Indications
✢ Moderate-heavy exudate wounds with infection risk: pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surface trauma, venous/arterial leg ulcers, graft donor sites, cavity wounds, post-surgical incisions.
