Silver sulfadiazine medicated gauze is cotton gauze impregnated with silver sulfadiazine broad-spectrum antimicrobial compound. It releases silver ions continuously to eliminate multidrug-resistant wound bacteria, suppresses fungal growth, and is indicated for burn wounds and heavily contaminated lesions with high infection risk.
Instructions for use
✢ Clean wound and surrounding skin with sterile saline, gently blot peripheral skin dry.
✢ Select matching silver sulfadiazine gauze size, aseptically open pouch and retrieve medicated gauze
✢ Trim gauze with sterile scissors for irregular wound shapes, cover with secondary absorbent dressing layer.
✢ Lay silver sulfadiazine gauze flat onto wound bed, secure outer dressing edges with medical tape.
Indications:
✢ Partial/full-thickness thermal burns, severely contaminated traumatic wounds, infected chronic ulcers, diabetic infected foot lesions, post-debridement abscess wounds, high-risk surgical incisions.
